Real-time magnetometer data

This page displays real-time plots of magnetic data recorded at eleven magnetometer stations of the Finnish Meteorological Institute. The recording stations are the Nurmijärvi Geophysical Observatory (NUR) and Mekrijärvi (MEK), Oulujärvi (OUJ), Hankasalmi (HAN), Kevo (KEV), Kilpisjärvi (KIL), Masi (MAS), Ivalo (IVA), Muonio (MUO), Pello (PEL), Ranua (RAN) and Tartu (TAR) recording stations. Included also are recordings from Sodankylä geophysical observatory (SOD) (data provided by University of Oulu).

The Finnish Meteorological Institute provides real-time magnetometer data from the stations KEV, MAS, KIL, IVA, MUO, PEL, RAN, OUJ, MEK, HAN, NUR, and TAR under the same conditions that apply to the Institute's open data online service (https://en.ilmatieteenlaitos.fi/open-data). Data from the station SOD, although shown on this page, are not provided by the Finnish Meteorological Institute. If you are interested in using SOD data, please contact the Sodankylä geophysical observatory of the University of Oulu.
