Other geomagnetic data from Fennoscandia
IMS
During the International Magnetospheric Study (IMS) in 1974-1980, about 40 Scandinavian Magnetometer Array (SMA) stations operated in Fennoscandia. Stations were run by the University of Münster and the Technical University of Braunschweig. Digitized data of selected stations are available of about 65 events. Data are available at the Technical University of Braunschweig (data requests to Olaf Amm).
Other projects
The Lancaster University maintains the SAMNET magnetometer network of which four stations are in Fennoscandia.
A number of short measuring campaigns have been performed for different special purposes. For example, the Division of Geophysics of the University of Oulu has performed a large number of magnetovariational and magnetotelluric measurements since 1980's.
As a historically interesting and scientifically important point we like to mention the Helsinki magnetic-meteorological observatory that operated in 1844-1911 in the centre of Helsinki. So we have now geomagnetic data of a period of over 150 years in Fennoscandia. This allows for making statistical studies of a long-term geomagnetic activity.
