The Finnish Meteorological Institute will be hosting the 11th International Workshop on Long-Term Changes and Trends in the Atmosphere 30 May- 3 June 2022.
The workshop will be the 11th meeting in a series which started in 2000. The workshop will focus on long term variations and trends in the middle and upper atmosphere using both observations and model predictions. Broad topics will include: a) observed and modelled trends and long-term variations in the middle atmosphere; b) trends and long-term changes in the ionosphere and thermosphere; c) dynamic, physical, chemical and radiative mechanisms of trends and long term variations; d) role of the middle atmosphere for climate.
The workshop is organized as a hybrid event welcoming both in-person and on-line participation. In total, we have over 60 participants giving more than 50 scientific presentations.
As a specific feature of this workshop, two side meetings are also organized by SPARC during the same week: Atmospheric Temperature Changes (ATC) and Long-term Ozone Trends and Uncertainties in the Stratosphere (LOTUS).
