FMI is partnering with ASRO Oy in providing payload for ESA ALTIUS satellite

FMI-SPACE provides Quality Assurance management for the Finnish share of the payload of the ESA ozone monitoring satellite ALTIUS, to be launched in 2023, as subcontractor to ASRO Oy.

ASRO has been chosen as the supplier of FPI assembly and its control electronics for ALTIUS. The other subcontractors for ASRO are VTT and RUAG Finland.Because of its long and extensive experience in the field of space technology, FMI-SPACE is a sought-after partner for domestic and international space projects. Since 1988 FMI has delivered over 40 instruments to be flown in space missions. FMI-SPACE has also provided project management and quality assurance services for example for BepiColombo/SIXS instrument delivered by Finnish consortium led by Helsinki University. As ASRO was one of the other subcontractors for SIXS, FMI and ASRO have a long collaboration history.
